Verse: Entwined
Synopsis: Three go through life having two lives, one living in the world around them and one in the world they create themselves and how those two worlds interlace to create their reality.
I tried to PB this verse but somehow got almost squicked. Please don't ask em to explain but the point is, there may not be PBs for a while, if ever.
Katie: A young girl who lives with her mother and stepfather. Her real father left when she was four and her mother dated a string of men before settling down. Katie is sweet with a vivid imagination and she loves creating worlds and people. She wants to be a writer when she grows up but even if she can't, she wants to work with bo0oks. She's happiest when she's at a library or when she gets to sit down somewhere and write.
Her step father is sexually abusive towards her and has been for a number of years. She often goes into a world of her own creation when he finds her, choosing that over her real life whenever she gets the chance.
David: A boy who met Katie when he was assigned to work with her on a project. The two got talking and they realized that they both share a love of stories. Katie tells him about the world she's created and he thinks it's magnificent. Soon, the two of them are writing stories together and David even draws pictures. He becomes as immersed int he world as she is.
His home life also isn't the greatest. While his family isn't physically abusive, his mother often turns to him when she needs to release her anger, often yelling at him and telling him that the various problems in their life are his fault amongst various other things.
Jenna (Georgina Cates): The last member of the little threesome. She met David when she needed help on a project she was doing and then found herself spending more and more time with the two. She isn't as interested in storytelling and books as they are, at least not at first but she rapidly gets pulled into their worlds, soon adding her own touch to the whole thing until the three of them have become completely wrapped up in it.
Aradia: The Queen of Cats. She is one of the main players in the world that the three share. She is regal and charming and the queen of all the lands. She takes care of those who enter her kingdom but protects it from anyone who tries to threaten her rule. She will not hesitate to spill blood if needed but tries to be a fair judge as to when such measures need to be taken.
Diana: A princess. She is following in her mother's footsteps the best way she can. She cares deeply for her mother and the kingdom and wants to see the world bloom into something amazing. She falls in love easily and tries not to let that sway her feelings towards something, even if it doesn't usually work.
Kaden: The Prince of Birds. He's often found trying to court both Diana and Aradia along with anything else that will let him. He too falls in love easily and often but he's better and keeping control though not by much. He is often seen defending the two courts, as he is an excellent fighter when he's not letting his emotions get the best of him.
Johnathan: A page working under the queen. He's sweet, gentle and willing to do whatever he can to help. He loves stories and is apt to tell one when he gets the chance. He has dreams of becoming a knight though he's not sure how likely it is he'll get to live those dreams. He is often the one that the kids identify with the most and they consider him a friend more than they do any of the others.
